On Friday night, the lady hot dogs looked to get the first Sagamore Conference win in two seasons.  The opening quarter had a solid offensive inside theme to it with the first six points of the game coming from Rylee Seibert.  Rylee finished with 8 points in the quarter and Emily Michael added 5.  After one quarter of play, the Athenians took a 1 point lead into the 2nd quarter.  The back and forth game continued into the fourth quarter.  The dogs led by at many as 11 points but turnovers allowed C-ville to get back into the ball game.  The game came down to the last two posessions of the game.  Kimee Kingma had an offensive rebound and was fouled.  She made one free throw to put the dogs within 1 point.  A foul by Avery Drew put C-ville at the free throw line.  They made 1 of 2 and with 6.8 seconds left, Rylee Seibert rebounds the miss and dribbles down the court and sinks a 3 point shot to win the game.  It was also senior night, this past Friday, where we honored Raina Keller, Alieah Carter, and Noemy Santos.  A huge thank you to them and their efforts over their four years of playing.  Sectionals are Tuesday, January 31st at Lebanon vs North Montgomery at 6:30pm.

Rylee Seibert 27 points      Emily Michael 18pts      Kimee Kingma 10pts       Kya King 6pts

Raina Keller 5pts          Avery Drew 1pt
