The Lady Hot Dog Soccer team remained undefeated on the season by defeating the Western Panthers at home on Wednesday night, 2-1. The Panthers got on the board early in the 1st half as they played a cross and a mishit clearance by a Hot Dog defender scored the lone Panther goal. The Hot Dogs came back later in the 1st half when a Panther defender handled the ball in the box and Lynsey Isenhower capitalized on the penalty kick. The Lady Hot Dogs came out of halftime hungry for a goal and off a Krysten Webb cross early in the 2nd half; Isenhower was able to coral the ball and find the back of the net for the game winner. Goalkeeper, Sofia Byrd made a crucial save late in the game to keep the Hot Dogs ahead. With only a few minutes left, Tania Cervantes made the play of the game by sliding in front of a Panther forward that was about to score from 6 yards out. The Lady Hot Dogs (2-0) look to continue their winning ways as they host Eastern on Monday at 5:30 PM.
