Girls Junior Varsity Soccer, Girls Varsity Soccer · Lady Hot Dogs lose to Danville

The Lady Hot Dogs lost to conference rival Danville, 2 – 8 on Wednesday night. The game was a tale of two halves as the game was tied 0-0 at halftime. Danville scored first three minutes into the 2nd half to take a 0-1 lead. Senior Beatriz Balderas answered within a minute as she sailed a direct kick over the goalie to tie the game 1-1. Danville was too much for the Dogs to handle as they scored six goals in a fifteen minute span to take a 1-7 lead. Danville added their final goal with 7 minutes remaining to take an 1-8 lead. Balderas scored her 2nd goal off another great shot from distance to end the scoring at 2-8. The Lady Hot Dogs finshed the season with a record of 5-9-1 and 1-6 in conference. The Lady Hot Dogs will travel to Harrison on Tuesday to take on McCutcheon in the 1st round of sectionals at 5 PM.

The JV team came out strong and played tough against Danville. The team lost 0-2 to complete their season. The Lady Hot Dogs did a tremendous job this year representing FHS and ended their season at 6-7-2. Congratulations Ladies!
