On Tuesday evening the Hot Dogs played host to county-rival Rossville Hornets. This would be the first game in four that we would have the starting line up completely healthy. That did not last long as after a strong basket underneath, Kimee Kingma injured her ankle and would be out the rest of the game. The plan for the game was to go inside to her and Rylee Seibert. Rylee finished with a game high 17 points, doing everything she could to keep the hot dogs close. The second quarter was a killer for the dogs with Rossville closing the first half with a 14-2 run. The second half had Emily Michael coming out firing scoring 7 points in the quarter to help the hot dogs claw back and be behind just one point. Many missed opportunities in the 4th quarter allowed Rossville to stay ahead and win the game. Emily Michael finished with 12 points in the losing effort. The Hot Dogs will travel to Western Boone on Friday for a Varsity double-header with a tip time of 6pm.
