Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to Western on Wednesday. Western scored on a single , a groundout by Tori Turner, and a walk by Gabi King in the first inning.

A single by Carson Hackerd in the second inning was a positive for Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity.

Lexy Sanders earned the win for Western. She tossed two and two-thirds innings, giving up zero runs, two hits, and striking out five. Drew took the loss for Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity. She pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering 12 runs, and 14 hits.

Emma Key started the game for Western. She went one-third of an inning, giving up zero runs, and zero hits.

Hackerd went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity in hits.

Western collected 15 hits. Record, Gabi King, Chase Epp, Maddie Poe, and Kinsey Smith each collected multiple hits for Western. Record led Western with three hits in four at bats. Western was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Smith had the most chances in the field with eight.
