The JV had a good showing at the Sagamore Conference JV volleyball tournament on Saturday, placing 5th and going 2-2 for the day. Lindsey Gay had 9 kills and 34 assists, Kylie Norman had 10 kills and 7 aces, Mallory Martin had 13 kills, and Ingrid Valdes had 9 kills. Sydney Pearcy had 5 kills and Yamin Hernandez had a strong defensive day. Grace Campbell added 5 aces and 3 kills.

Sydney Hit

The varsity struggled to keep their momentum and poise after an injury that delayed the match as they nearly knocked off Franklin Central. The girls then dropped matches to Jay County, Plainfield, and Union County. Despite the difficult day, the team left knowing what they need to work towards as they head into the second half of the season. Avery Drew led the way Saturday with 63 digs and 3 aces. Kimee Kingma had 11 kills and 2 solo blocks. Chloe Roberts had 11 kills, 2 solo block, and 25 digs. Jenna Rockhold had a strong day with 6 kills and 10 digs. Riley Isgrigg had 9 kills and 57 assists, and Emily Michael had 17 kills. Ally Timmons had 9 kills while Ashley Timmons added 10 kills and a block. Madison Toney had 25 digs and 2 aces.

The team hosts conference rival Western Boone on Thursday evening.
