Multiple Teams · Hot Dogs win in OT

On Friday evening, the lady hot dogs welcomed the Western Panthers to Case Arena.  The game couldn’t have started better for the hot dogs.  We executed the offensive game plan and were converting turnovers to points.  After one quarter, the dogs had a 16-12 lead.  Momentum shifted to Western in the second quarter and untimely unforced errors made a comeback for the dogs.  At halftime, the coaching staff preached a simple message of confidence and believing in themselves.  As the third quarter came to a close, the hot dogs won that quarter and battled their way back in the fourth to give ourselves a chance to win the game.  After a time out with 5.3 seconds left, Emily Michael hits a game saving three pointer from the left wing and sends the game to overtime.  In the overtime session, the dogs took the game over with rebounding and finishing around the rim.  Kimee Kingma and Rylee Seibert played a vital role in that extra session to seal the game.
