Boys Varsity Baseball · Boys Baseball: Win Friday, County Champs Saturday

The varsity baseball team started the weekend with a 3-2 win over West Lafayette on Friday.  Luis Hernandez pitched a complete game to earn the win.

On Saturday, the team won the Clinton County tournament.  In the morning game vs 1A #3 ranked Rossville, the Hot Dogs came out on top by a score of 7-2.  Jack Espinoza threw 4 innings for the win and Jesus Lopez pitched 3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the save. Jose Valdes Sandoval had 3 hits to lead the offense.
 In the championship game, the team defeated Clinton Prairie, 4-2.  Braden Compton threw a complete game for the win and Jose Valdes Sandoval had another 3-hit game.  That win capped off a 6-game week to finish 5-1.
