The JV baseball team traveled to Northwestern on Saturday in what was originally supposed to be a doubleheader but was changed to a single game due to pitching availability for Northwestern. The JV Dogs got off to a hot start by scoring 5 runs against the Tigers in the 1st. However, the Tigers kept chipping away and eventually gained a 9-5 lead by the 3rd inning. The score heading into the top of the 7th was Northwestern 11 Hot Dogs 10 with the tieing run at 2nd base for the Dogs; however, a bizarre sequence ended the game and leaving the tieing run at 2nd.
Cole Wills kept his hot bat alive with having a 3-5 day with 5 RBIs. Also, having a good day at the plate was Angel Cruz with 2 hits & 2 RBIs.
