With yesterday’s victory, the Lady Hot Dogs are now 13-3 for the season. This eclipses last year’s win total with several matches yet to play.
Emily Michael played a very good match against a experience opponent. While it turned out the way she would’ve wanted, Emily was moving well and playing a aggressive game. The match was very close, 6-7 (5-7 tiebreaker), 3-6.
After being sidelined due to a injury, it was great to have Annie Giebel back in action. Annie took control of her match by moving her opponent at will with great groundstrokes and deft drop shots. Annie won 6-0, 6-3.
Riley Isgrigg continued her winning ways with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over her Danville opponent. Riley’s serve was spot on and the victory was never in doubt.
Abby Pierce and Jalynn Kidwell won their match 6-4, 6-3 against a tough opponent. Both Lady Hot Dogs served well and pinned their rivals back with accurate lobs.
Lucy Calvert and Rylee Seibert also were victorious in their doubles match: 6-1, 6-0. They took control of the match from the start and never looked back. Both have big serves and if their opponents got it back, Lucy or Rylee would put it away at the net. A big win for them.
The Lady Hot Dogs travel today to take on Crawfordsville with a 5:30 start time.
