Girls Junior Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Softball · Softball: Stars too much for Hot Dogs


Lady Hot Dog Softball took a tough loss to Western Boone, 11-1.  The Dogs had a tough time defensively against the Stars batters.  Makayla Harper took the loss, pitching five and a third innings, allowing 11 runs on 12 hits and striking out one.  The Dogs also struggled to get their bats consistent, only collecting one run on three hits over six innings.  Avery Drew, Morgan Dean and Kimee Kingma each collected one hit on the night.
The Lady Hot Dog JV team defeated the Western Boone Stars JV team 13-8 on Thursday evening.  The Dogs started strong in the first inning, scoring seven runs.  Analisa Hernandez lead the Hot Dog JV with four hits, Skiila Robey with three, and Taylor Bailey with one.  All the Lady Hot Dogs reached base during the game.  Jocelyn Marcum picks up the win for the dogs, pitching 5 innings, striking out two.   
Hot Dog Varsity Softball is in action Friday evening at Clinton Prairie for the County Tournament.  They will face Rossville for the first game at 4:45 pm.  Second game will start around 6:30 pm.
