Girls Junior Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Softball · Softball: Bruins Too Much for Hot Dogs


Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity lost the lead late in a 14-8 defeat to Tri-West on Monday.  Despite the loss, the Hot Dogs did collect eight hits in the high-scoring affair. In the top of the fourth inning, Frankfort Hot Dogs Varsity tied things up at seven.  Morgan Dean drove in two when she doubled with the Hot Dogs scoring four runs in the fourth inning.  Makayla Harper took the loss for the Hot Dogs, allowing five hits and six runs over two innings.  Avery Drew started the game for the Hot Dogs.  She lasted four innings, allowing 11 hits and eight runs while striking out two.  In the eight hits, Morgan Dean and Karleigh Bessler each collected two hits. Kimee Kingma, Avery Drew, Katie Roberts and Jordan Anderson all had one hit.  The Dogs were strong on the base path with Drew leading the way with three stolen bases, Bessler with two and Chloe Roberts and Jenna Rockhold each with one. 
 
 
The Hot Dogs JV lost the lead early in their loss to Tri-West Monday, 12-2.  Jocelyn Marcum took the loss for the Dogs, pitching four innings, allowing 12 runs on nine hits and striking out four.  Skiila Robey (with a double), Hanna Anderson, Grace Campbell, and Analisa Hernandez each managed one hit to lead the Dogs. 
 
The Dogs are all back in action Tuesday evening, hosting Tri-West.  We will celebrate Senior Night with presentation of our senior player before the varsity game at 5:30 pm.
