The Frankfort High School Cheerleaders attended a Stunt Clinic at Indiana University on Sunday, September 16, 2018. The stunt clinic featured coaching by IU Head Cheerleading Coach, Julie Horrine and her staff including instruction by IU Assistant Cheerleading Coach, Tony Nash. The FHS girls spent time within their group working on stunts and also ventured out into groups with cheerleaders from other schools. It was a day filled with hard work, team bonding and improvement in the area of stunting.
IU Coach Horrine also spoke with the girls about what it takes to become an IU cheerleader, the expectations of the program and various perks that are offered to its athletes.
The FHS Cheerleaders have attended IU Spirit Day last year and the IU Stunt Clinic and have plans to attend their second IU Spirit Day this coming December. This type training and instruction helps to make our cheerleaders game and competition ready.
