Boys Varsity Cross Country · Boys Cross Country Qualifies for Semi-State–1st Time Since 2013

The boys cross country team finished 4th in the Harrison Regional Meet to qualify for the New Prairie Semi-State for the first time since 2013.  The top 5 standings were the same as last week’s Harrison Sectional as our boys easily defeated the top Benton Central Sectional team by 55 points.  Frankfort almost changed up the middle of the standings by barely finishing behind McCutcheon by only 4 points instead of by 17 like at Sectionals.  This was due to several runners running PRs by 30 seconds or more.  We were led by Hugo Hernandez (16:47 PR #18 All-Time), who finished 9th place.  Michael Corro also finished on the podium with his 17th place finish in 17:17 PR.  Other finishers include Cristian Asensio-Mora (24th 17:29 PR), Josue Bautista Ventura (33rd 17:40 PR), Kevin Espinoza (53rd 18:39), Bryan Longoria-Rocha (54th 18:41), and Brian Pratt (71st 19:31).
