Girls Varsity Soccer · Lady Hot Dogs Fall to Bruins

On Saturday the Lady Hot Dogs traveled to Tri-West for their annual Boys-Girls Double Header. The Lady Hot Dogs were playing a little short-handed due to injuries and family emergencies. The Ladies started off strong but eventually, the Bruins were able to overpower the Lady Hot Dogs and ended up with a lopsided win of 9-1.

The lone goal for the Lady Hot Dogs came from Junior Liz Cruz Sandoval giving her 14 on the season. This gives Liz 27 career goals as she continues to close in on the 2nd most goals all-time. It also moves her into a third-place tie for goals in a single season with Chelsea Geralds’ 2008 season (Chelsea also holds the Single Season record of 30 and the Career Goals with 56.)

The loss dropped the Lady Hot Dogs to 3-9-1 with two games left to play in the regular season. The postseason will start on Tuesday, October 8th when the Lady Hot Dogs travel to Crawfordsville High School to take on North Montgomery; giving the Lady Hot Dogs the chance to avenge a loss from earlier in the season.
