FMS Soccer · Conference Champions!

The Frankfort Middle School soccer teams traveled to Lebanon for the annual Sagamore Conference tournament on Saturday.  The girls team started the day off early with a 3-0 win over Southmont.  They then beat Crawfordsville 3-2 on a penalty kick.  They ended their day facing off against rival Lebanon in the championship game.  Exhaustion got the best of the Lady Hot Dogs as they fell to the Tigers 4-1.  Congratulations to the Lady Hot Dogs on an awesome season!

The boys soccer team had a first round bye as the number one seed entering the tournament.  The extra rest paid off for the Hot Dogs as they easily defeated Southmont 5-2 before taking on Crawfordsville in the championship game.  The game was tied 2-2 going into the last 2 minutes of the game as 8th grader Gael Hernandez scored to give the Dogs the 3-2 lead.  The Hot Dog defense held the Athenians for the final two minutes to bring home the Sagamore Conference Championship. Congratulations to the boys on an outstanding season!
