Frankfort Middle School will begin all fall sports practices the week of August 10, 2020.  This will allow for:

  • Proper training of coaches
  • Supervision of athletics
  • Registration of athletes and parents into FinalForms 
  • Parent completion of appropriate forms and waivers
  • Ability for families that need physicals to get one  

 

Call outs and further information for each sport will be given during the first two days of school on August 6th and 7th.  

 

Coaches and athletes will be expected to practice social distancing when possible, wear face coverings, and practice good hygiene prior to and at the conclusion of practice or competition.  

 

Frankfort Middle School will take precautions through the sanitation of equipment prior to and following all athletic practices and competitions.  Precautions will also be taken with the washing of towels and practice uniforms after each practice and competition.  

 

We ask that athletes help take precautions by showering at school or home immediately after practices or competitions and that all practice clothing is washed immediately.  

 

Requirements for Athletes:

 

Face Coverings – Athletes will be required to wear a face covering when not participating in strenuous physical activity.  This includes in locker rooms, to and from the practice/game areas, on the sidelines, and during team meetings.

 

Water Bottles – All athletes must provide their own water bottle that is labeled with the student name.  

 

Daily Check-In – Athletes will be required to answer Covid-19 related questions prior to participating in any practice or competition.

 

Physicals – All athletes must have a physical on file with the school prior to starting practice.  Athletes in 7th and 8th grade are able to use their physical form from last school year.  6th grade athletes must have a physical on file with the school.  This could be an IHSAA approved physical from last school year or a new physical.

 

IHSAA Health History Update Questionnaire – All athletes must complete and have on file this IHSAA mandated questionnaire prior to starting practice.

 

CSF Liability Waiver – All athletes must have this liability waiver on file prior to starting practice.

All coaches are encouraging players to begin conditioning before the start of the season.  Please begin running short distances and increasing to longer distances in order to build your stamina for the first week of practices.
