Hot Dogs News · Hot Dog Football Moves to 2-2

Friday the Frankfort Football team put together an impressive win at home for Senior Night against Southmont.  The Hot Dogs were tied 6-6 at the end of the first half but used an explosive second half to make the score 40-6.  Our coaching staff was very proud at the way our guys played together and focused on the details.
Riley Goodnight led the rushing attack with 22 carries for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Sam Michael threw for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns.  Jade Ayers had a season high 8 catches for 118 yards and a TD, while Cam Swinford added a touchdown catch of his own.
Defensively the Hot Dogs played another great game.  We gave up a touchdown on the opening drive, then held Southmont scoreless until the JV went in in the 4th quarter.  The defense was led by Reece Mitchell with 18 tackles, Vlad Carreas Lantigua with 16 tackles and a blocked PAT, and Gabe Chavez who had 13 tackles and an interception.  Bryce McDonald also had an interception and Charlie Garcia had a huge sack on the Southmont quarterback.
The Hot Dogs travel up to South Central this week with the kickoff at 7pm Central time.
