Hot Dogs News · Volleyball Loses Heartbreaker at Danville


The Volleyball team traveled to Danville on Thursday evening to take on the Warriors. The girls started slow off the bus, getting down 0-2. But, they rallied and took games 3 and 4. The girls started game 5 strong, having Danville up 12-6. After a few unforced errors, Danville took the momentum, and we did not score again, dropping the fifth 12-15. Although heartbreaking, the team showed a lot of grit to come back and dominate in games 3 and 4. The team looks to prepare for sectionals as they play at the Twin Lakes Invite on Saturday.

Lindsey Gay: 8 kills, 28 assists

Allyson Timmons: 7 kills, 2 blocks

Morgan Adamson: 14 kills, 12 digs

Bella Colby: 7 kills, 4 blocks

Tarah Martinez: 3 aces, 14 digs

Sydni Whitaker: 17 digs, 4 aces

Mercedez Toney: 38 digs

The JV ended their season, dropping the hard fought match to Danville. Amber Houchen had 7 solo blocks, Emily Hurless had 3 kills, Eryka Pillion had 4 digs, Kylie Field had a kill and an ace, Emma Pillion had 3 assists, Jazzy Oppelt had 3 digs, and Jennifer Hernandez Gomez had 2 digs. The team finished the season having made vast improvements and learning a lot about the game.
