On Friday evening, the lady hot dogs hosted the Western Panthers. It was the best half of basketball for the varsity this season, but too many mental mistakes are keeping them from staying close to their opponent. There is no let down in playing with effort and heart however. The girls are determined to put a whole 4 quarters together and to show they are better than what they have shown thus far. Liz Sandoval led the dogs with 14 points and Ingrid Valdes played her best defensive basketball this season with multiple great block outs and rebounds. The lady hot dogs are back in Case Arena Tuesday evening as we open up Conference play with North Montgomery.

The jv had a sluggish start but thanks to the effort of Heather Massengill and Carina Alanis on the defensive end, it led the dogs to cutting the lead to 3 points with just minutes to play. Unfortunately, that is as close as the game got with Western pulling away in the final minute to play.
