Boys Cross Country Qualifies for Semi-State, Alanis for Girls

Girls XC Qualifies for Regionals for First Time Since 2013!

The girls cross country team had their best team performance of the year at Sectionals, finishing 4th place overall to earn their first Regional berth since 2013.  They were led by Carina Alanis in 24th with a 21:46.  The rest of the top 5 included Ane Ochoa De Alda getting 25th with the 14th fastest

Girls XC Finishes 5th at the SAC Meet

The girls team finished 5th at the SAC Championship Meet.  3 girls were 2nd Team All-SAC:  Carina Alanis (16th), Ane Ochoa De Alda (18th and 16th fastest 5k in school history), and Romy Hemmersbach (24th).  Full results can be found here:  http://www.onlineraceresults.com/event/view_event.php?event_id=23022 The team is looking to make it to Regionals for the first time

Culver Invitational XC Results

Horribly muddy conditions resulted in a slow race for competitors of all teams.  The boys and girls varsity teams competed in the “big school” open race against several state ranked Indiana teams as well as state ranked teams from as Ohio and Illinois.  We were the smallest school in the race.  The boys finished 23rd

New Prairie Invitational XC Results

The boys and girls teams were in the AA race and finished 11th and 14th out of 30 registered teams.  Podium finishers include Hugo Hernandez 7th, Josue Bautista Ventura 32nd, and Carina Alanis in 29th.  The boys freshman/sophomore team finished 29th out of 31 complete teams against A-AA-AAA teams. Boys and Girls XC Dominate at the County Meet

The boys and girls cross country teams had a dominant performance at the Clinton County Championship Meet, with the boys winning for the 3rd year in a row with only 19 points scored and the girls winning back-to-back championships with only 25 points.  The boys finished with 5 runners in the top 6 including Hugo

The boys varsity team finished 16th out of 30 teams, led by Hugo Hernandez with his 15th place finish–running the 10th best 5k time in school history with a 16:31.   The girls varsity team finished 22nd out of 30 teams, led by Carina Alanis with her 67th place finish–running the 7th best 5k in

Cross Country Danville Hokum Karem Results

The boys placed 7th and girls 9th out of 17 teams at the Danville Hokum Karem–a race where everyone has a partner in which they take turns running three 1-mile loops each.  Ventura/Hernandez were our top pair at 11th place, and Espidio/Alanis were 9th place–which was the first time since 2010 that a girls pair

The boys xc team at the Harrison 8-Way Meet had a bunch of season bests and tied for 3rd place but lost the tie breaker to Lafayette Jeff. Boys Cross Country 1st, Girls 2nd at Hot Dog Invite

The boys cross country team won the Hot Dog Invitational in convincing fashion against Hamilton Heights, Clinton Central, Lafayette Central Catholic, and Arsenal Tech.  The girls team fell short to Hamilton Heights by only 1 point.  The boys were lead by individual champ Hugo Hernandez while Carina Alanis lead the girls with a 3rd place
